Naomi took to social media this week to respond to a fan who was critical of the recent situation that led to her husband, fellow WWE Superstar Jimmy Uso, getting arrested.
The Total Divas cast member replied to a fan, declaring she was not ticketed or drinking on the night that Uso was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction following a traffic stop in Detroit, Michigan.
“I was NOT ticketed, I was NOT drinking,” wrote Naomi in response to a fan on Twitter. “Leaving the lot I was unaware that it exits to a 1 way street (it was dark snow no signs no traffic I was pulled immediately made a mistake and I own it).”
As noted, TMZ posted on February 14th that Uso was arrested (no date was listed) when he exited the vehicle during the aforementioned Detroit traffic stop, removed his jacket and shirt and “squared up” with the authorities while ignoring their commands.
According to the report, an officer pulled out his taser and Uso settled down before ultimately getting arrested and being released on bond.
After the story became public, WWE issued a brief one-line statement that read:
- “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”
Three days later, Jimmy and Jey Uso would defeat The Miz and Shane McMahon at the WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 pay-per-view in Houston, Texas to become the new WWE SmackDown Tag-Team Champions.
