Triple H Explains ‘Global Localization’ Concept and Possible International ‘Territories’
Awhile back, it was reported that WWE had applied to trademark the phrase “Global Localization”, although it was unclear to what the phrase was pertaining.
Triple H appeared at WWE’s annual Business Partner Summit over WrestleMania weekend, and according to John Pollock of PostWrestling.com, The Game outlined his concept of “Global Localization” for WWE.
Triple H noted he wants to expand NXT brands into different countries to create their own global territorial system. In a sense, the concept would be an expanded version of the old “territory” system, in which WWE brands would operate on their own, as international feeder systems, under the umbrella of WWE.
Triple H added the idea was pitched about ten years ago, but at the time WWE decided against moving forward with the concept.
Paul Levesque takes credit for coming up with “Global Localization”. He explained their push to create NXT brands around the world as a global territorial system, reminiscent of the plan the company toyed with over a decade ago but never went through with. pic.twitter.com/bqgWHv1Cak
